JOY RIDE GONE WRONG

Around 300 tourists were left stranded mid-air in 65 cabins after a technical malfunction hit the Gulmarg cable car system in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. The 179 tourists were evacuated in a seven-hour-long operation. Some cabins were reportedly hanging nearly 500ft above ground, making evacuation difficult. Heavy rainfall further hampered rescue efforts. No casualties were reported
